The honourable Prime Minister of India had desired to spread India’s traditional knowledge worldwide with credible systems with specific reference to Yoga which should provide India leadership in assuring quality of Yoga practices across the world. The Ministry of AYUSH in pursuance of the above and in the wake of declaration of International Day of Yoga in 2015 identified the Quality Council of India (QCI) to develop a Voluntary Scheme for Evaluation and Certification of Yoga Professionals.

QCI has designed the Yoga Professional Certification Scheme by adopting the principles and requirements laid down in the international standard, ISO 17024:2012 General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification of Persons. The Scheme was presented to the Ministry of AYUSH and was launched on 22 June 2015 in the valedictory function of the International Day of Yoga celebration by the Hon’ble Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh.

Ministry of AYUSH vide Office Memorandum number L20025/21/2015-IC has decided to EXECUTE AND IMPLEMENT Yoga Scheme (The Yoga Scheme comprises of Yoga Professional Certification Scheme and Yoga School Certification Scheme) BY Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) w.e.f 1 March 2018. Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga has constituted Yoga Certification Board to manage this scheme.

The Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy, abbreviated as AYUSH, is a governmental body in India purposed with developing, education and research in ayurveda, yoga, naturopathy, unani, siddha, homoeopathy, Sowa Rigpa and other Indigenous medicine systems.

The Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga is an autonomous, non profit making institute, acting as the nodal agency for the development and promotion of yoga culture across the country. The Institute is established by the Department of AYUSH, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

The Yoga Certification Board is constituted to manage the Scheme of Voluntary Certification of Yoga Professionals.

Several bodies called Personal Certification Bodies (PrCBs) in India and abroad are appointed to conduct the Yoga Certification Exams. Candidates may approach any of these bodies to register and appear for the exams.

All exam documents pertaining to the application are retained for a period of one year. Documents of the certified personnel are retained for a period of one certification cycle (3 years). All records are maintained in soft copy as per above duration, however all unused physical documents like question paper, OMR sheets will be destroyed in 30 days of the exam being conducted

There is no restriction on age, qualification, training or experience.

Yes, for differently abled people, the requirement for certification would be limited to only theoretical knowledge and teaching practice. Such professionals will be certified that they have been evaluated only for Knowledge and teaching practice.

The nature of disability needs to be reported to MDEG for them giving approval on a case to case basis principle.

Admit card with Original Govt. approved photo id card.

Live Demo for filling OMR will be given by MMDEG Coordinator before Exam at exam Center, Other instructions will be on your admit card.

You can take ONLY ONE exam in one session. Both the exams cannot be taken together in one session. The candidate will be allowed to take only either Level 1, 2 or Level 3 which applied for both theory and practical.

If candidate after being allotted admit card for a particular exam does not appear for the exam, then the Fee paid for the exam will be forfeited . In cases she/he wished to appear again then the candidate will have to apply again.

If the candidate is not satisfied with his marks, they are permitted to apply for rechecking with Stipulated fee.

Candidate can apply for re-checking within 15 days from the date of result declaration

The total time taken for re-checking process is 30 working days from date of payment being received.

Result will be declared with in 30 Days after Exam.

Result will be mailed to Candidates Registered E-Mail ID.

Result is prepared through Software which will obtained the Answers marked on OMR Sheet provided to Candidates during Examination.

All Candidates informed by SMS through SMS Gateway, Candidates are advised to put his/her Phone Number out of Do Not Disturb Directory.

Exam Fees once paid is Non-Refundable irrespective of Result Outcome.
